SEVN: Acoustic test at Wexford Arts Centre

Yesterday I got to spend some time after hours in the Wexford Arts Centre.

As part of my South East Venues Network bursary award, I am exploring 4 venues to find the best acoustic for solo viola. I will then be going back in to properly record with producer Gavin Glass. Here I tried out a few spots in the theatre, 2 different stairwells and the downstairs gallery. I wasn't really concentrating on the performance here, it is mainly a test of sound...it's a work in progress!

In this venue, the best sound was definitely not in the actual theatre…check it out and let me know what you think.

I was trying out one of my favourite new pieces…”Light at the end of the tunnel” by Thea Musgrave. I’m looking forward to recording it with producer extraordinaire Gavin Glass in January
